Closure comes with a price

Last week, I finally received closure with someone. I lost my anger with that person but gained (brief) sadness. For me, that sadness relates to losing Hope. It's over now. In other situations, the price of closure may relate to Doubt, Fear or Love. Hence, my blog title: Closure comes with a price. In my view, I wasn't looking for closure. I was looking to protect...

Is happiness and satisfaction an obstacle in life?

Recently, I finished (re-)watching the pilot episode of Ally McBeal, an "American legal comedy drama television series" that aired from 1997 until 2002. I heard the phrase above in the crime series Instinct (eg, IMDB). It caught my immediate attention. Its focus is on separation, which usually has a negative connotation. I noticed a neutral perspective by Deeepak Subedi: "Life is a series of events, and with each event, we attach meaning." "Life is a series of events, and with each event, we attach meaning. With...

What to do when there’s no solution or alternative?

I have a dilemma and don't really know what to do besides my acceptance of a certain decision. The how of that decision is the center of my dilemma. I fail to see a solution - or an alternative - for that how. I'm afraid that the how will cause hurt and pain and possibly even regret and/or remorse. Strictly speaking, the model of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (1926-2004)...
