Recently, a Dutch woman said to me that “men are hunters” (ie, for women). I agree. Science claims there was a human evolution from hunters into gatherers. I’ve never believed in such an evolution.
In my view, men have always been hunters (eg, Power), and women have always been gatherers (eg, Knowledge).
Men and women are connected through Love.
Human population growth – as well as animal population decline – required a shift in human thinking: less animal hunting, and more (eg, agricultural) gathering.

That slow transition from less hunting towards more gathering is probably the cause for the very late exponential growth in human populations:
The exponential human growth itself is related to:
- Less competition (eg, wars) and more cooperation following:
- improved food supply;
- improved transport (eg, ships);
- improved foreign language skills (eg, negotiations);
- Better and more medicines and healthcare technology resulting in:
- better healthcare (eg, hospitals);
- less mortality (eg, infants, adults, seniors);
- increase in average age expectations;
- Better and more food supply resulting in:
- less hunger and starvation;
- increase in birth rates;
- increase in average age.
