Revolving doors are about Change: one “door” closes and another “door” opens. Closing doors create Doubt and Fear inside our body and/or mind and/or soul. Open doors create Hope and Love.
My former blogs on revolving doors were about Life and about Love:
- 2016: Revolving doors (about opportunities in Love);
- 2021: Life is a revolving door.
How about revolving doors for Knowledge and for Power??
I suppose the revolving door in the Power domain is quite clear: any vacuum – or any void – will soon be filled with somebody or something else (eg, money, politics, and religion).
A revolving door in Knowledge is far less clear. Perhaps, such a revolving door is about these “examples”:
- macro transfers between universal and individual consciousness (eg, inspiration);
- transfers in societies from opinions to facts (eg, following science & tech), and/or from facts to opinions (eg, following ideology);
- micro transfers from learning to teaching to learning (eg, schools).
The Why of revolving doors is intriguing. I suppose it’s about Hope.
Also see this recent FT article: “Hope is our superpower”.
All great deeds and all great thoughts have a ridiculous beginning. Great works are often born on a street corner or in a restaurant’s revolving door.

[Chorus: Kate Bush]
Don’t give up ’cause you have friends
Don’t give up, you’re not beaten yet
Don’t give up, I know you can make it good
