While sitting outside on my balcony, I’m enjoying the sunlight, bird sounds, and the impressive light blue sky with some small white clouds, drifting slowly. Without lifeforms (eg, humans), there would be no appreciation and gratitude of that view.
Perhaps, my consideration above explains David Bowie’s chorus lines (see below):
[Chorus: David Bowie]
Don’t you wonder sometimes
‘Bout sound and vision?
I suppose that everything “started” with Light, sounds, and the Void (eg, the Universe). I still fail to understand the How though (eg, Evolution). The Why is in my blogs on evolutionary lab experiments (2019 – 2025).
My beginning feels like someone (ie, the Who) or something (ie, the What) turning on a light (switch) in a dark and empty room (ie, the Where and the When). More rooms (ie, galaxies) are added and a house (ie, universe) emerges.
The Architect of this Master Plan (a.k.a. blueprint) must know everything by being able and willing to build something out of nothing. In my view, universal consciousness is related or even the very same.
Are conscious lifeforms, like humans, alone in the universe??
When you prefer to disregard the following items, then the answer could still be considered as a known unknown: we know that we do not know. Both result in a belief that we are (not) alone.
- Sumerian King List (eg, Line 1: “After the kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridu”),
- the long and ancient list of reported UFO sightings,
- paintings of ancient astronauts in caves.
In my view, those three items above are connected.
Two Google AI Overview quotes from the 1968 book Chariots of the Gods? by Swiss author Erich von Däniken (1935-2026):
- “I claim that our forefathers received visits from the universe in the remote past, even if I do not know who these extraterrestrial intelligences were or from which planet they came.”
- “It is impossible for us to admit that we are the only intelligent beings in the universe.”
