The wheel of Life, Nature & Universe (2)

Tuesday’s blog, The wheel of Life, Nature & Universe, included a question that has been on my mind for a very, very long time: is it possible that the Universe already existed before planets and stars appeared?? Actually, that question is more simple than its alternative, being the birth of the Universe.

Any birth requires “parents“. The birth of a Universe would – for instance – require a multiverse, metaverse or omniverse.

Obviously, then the chicken or the egg dilemma starts all over again. That dilemma would never ever stop.

Hence, yesterday’s diagram (see right) already included question marks at birth.

Moreover, entropy did not include the word Universe. Hence, no ending.

In my view, no beginning, no end.

However, is there anything that has no beginning ?? If something would have no beginning then – most likely – it would also have no ending. Similarly, any beginning will have an ending; even planet Earth. Hence, my José James song below: No Beginning No End.

Possibly, human Love that is true, has no beginning and no ending. Agape – or divine love – is eternal.

Perhaps, Knowledge has no beginning and no ending if and when it would be part of universal consciousness a.k.a. panpsychism (eg, Wiki).

In my view, (human) Power will always have a beginning and an ending (ie, death).

Perhaps, the above is consistent with #3 in Clarke’s three laws:

  1. “When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
  2. The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
  3. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

In my view, the blueprint of Life, Nature & Universe would indeed require “magic“.

Some quotes about no beginning, no ending:

  1. Federico Fellini: There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life.
  2. Joseph Smith (1840): “I believe that God is eternal. That He had no beginning, and can have no end. Eternity means that which is without beginning or end. I believe that the soul is eternal; and had no beginning; it can have no end. …Everything which had a beginning must have an ending.”
  3. Robert Monroe: “There is no beginning, there is no end, There is only change. There is no teacher, there is no student, There is only remembering. There is no good, there is no evil, There is only expression. There is no union, there is no sharing, There is only one. There is no joy, there is no sadness, There is only love. There is no greater, there is no lesser, There is only balance. There is no stasis, there is no entropy, There is only motion. There is no wakefulness, there is no sleep, There is only being. There is no limit, there is no chance, There is only a plan.”
  4. Maurice Maeterlinck: “Must we always be warned, and can we only fall on our knees when some one is there to tell us that God is passing by? If you have loved profoundly you have needed no one to tell you that your soul was a thing as great in itself as the world; that the stars, the flowers, the waves of night and sea were not solitary; that it was on the threshold of appearances that everything began, but nothing ended, and that the very lips you kissed belonged to a creature who was loftier, much purer, and much more beautiful than the one whom your arms enfolded.” (quote)
  5. Craig D. Lounsbrough: “Without an ending there would be no beginning. And if I can’t imagine a life without beginnings, I can’t live without endings.”
