A 1915 war poem by Julian Grenfell (1888-1915) mentioned the 3 most important items: Life is colour, warmth and light; my 2022 blog. Other people may add beauty, hope, inspiration, love, peace, and/or water.
In my view, beauty and peace are in the eye of the beholder. Hence, personal and relative.
Almost each day, I express my gratitude for the items above. Nevertheless, what is important? And why?
Fo the sake of this blog, let’s ignore items that are personal and/or relative. Let’s only focus on absolute items.
Light is probably the most absolute item in our universe, and provides (at least) these known known items (ie, facts) like colour, health (eg, hormones in our brain), sunlight, virus protection (ultraviolet radiation), and warmth.
Some additional known unknown items (ie, beliefs) about Light are universal consciousness (eg, panpsychism) and communication (eg, intuition, telepathy).
I just realised I’ve never considered whether Light has unknown known items (eg, instinct). I suppose it has as our instinct must be part of communication.
Many years ago, I had an appointment. Suddenly, my instinct warned me of imminent danger. I did not dare to drive there. My instinct was far too “clear”.
Then how about include items like hope and inspiration? I suppose that hope and love qualify as a (known unknown) beliefs.
I suppose that inspiration is like an unknown known feeling, like intuition and instinct.
Possibly, Light also has unknown unknown items (ie, fantasy, imagination). If so, then we would not know.
Are there any other absolute items, like Light, in what is important?
Perhaps, water is another absolute item of importance.
To be continued – or not.
