On 4 September 2024, I prepared my initial diagram (left) on Doubt, Hope, Fear & Love. Something was missing though. I did think about adding Belief systems but failed to ‘see‘ the new lay-out in my mind. On 1 October, I ‘received’ new inspiration. The result is my updated diagram (right).

Actually, I’m quite pleased with the new layout that suddenly ‘appeared’ in my mind. It’s a substantial improvement to my 2024 version.
Change is the only default in our lives. The rest is our own choice, and based upon our own priorities. In life, we can choose to be either negative or to be positive. Our negative thoughts will focus on doubt and fear. Our positive thoughts will focus on hope and love.
Several articles, which I haven’t even read yet, make sense in this (blog) context:
- Scientific American (2024): How Much Do Our Thoughts Shape Our Health?
- Washington Post (2025-03): Your brain is biased to negativity. Here’s how to be more positive.
- Scientific American (2025-05): Loneliness Is Inflaming Our Bodies—And Our Politics.
As a result, Politics will focus on our doubt and our fear in order to change our mind to their benefit.
Religion(s) will focus on messages of hope and love. Obviously, the political islam is an exception that hides behind an alleged “religion” in order to change our mind to their benefit.
Power is about the love for money, while technology is a tool for making such money.
Knowledge should be about doubt (and hope) because few things are absolutely certain in time and time (eg, Galileo Galilei on heliocentrism).
Love is probably the least understood dimension in our lives. Hence, the ancient Greek words for love that describe the various types of love, like: agape, eros, philautia, philia, storge, xenia, and several others.

If I could change the way I live my life today
I wouldn’t change a single thing
