Some people have deep connections. Others have not. Deep connections survive about everything. Other connections will (ultimately) fail. My diagram is about the ingredients of such connections, like the how, what, when, where, & who. The presence of ingredients will provide a (good or bad) mix.
Most ingredients are from my 2022 blog The 7 elements that define the type of relationship (below left). I have added honesty amongst Power in my 2025 diagram (right-below).
In any failing connection, guilt & shame as well as regret & remorse are (very) relevant; especially in friendships and relationships. See Knowledge (below-left).
For long, I’ve been puzzled about deep connections. The above elaboration may help (me) to understand. Nevertheless, such deep connections feel illogical and irrational to me.
Moreover, the concept of soul-mates also feels illogical and irrational to me. Perhaps, a soulmate has the deepest connection.
Notwithstanding the above, a connection just happens and almost automatically. Meeting someone new might be enough. Communication helps to jumpstart a connection. Forcing a connection seems impossible (to me).
Perhaps, interconnectedness needs networks & hubs (eg, my 2015 blog), and/or connectors. This thought might explain the Why.
After all, everything follows Why.
