In my blog Types of Love, I made this comment: fantasy + intuition + beliefs = facts. Another view is this: from unknown unknowns towards known knowns (facts). My 2017 diagram gives another view by moving from below-right, to below-left, to top-right, towards top-left (facts).
It should be stressed that artificial intelligence will never be able to enter the unknown unknowns domain of human intelligence. Even for humans, entering that domain is hard. It appears that imagination, creativity & fantasy are only for a small number of the human species (eg, painters, poets, writers).
Moreover, as long as humans are not able to download and upload the human mind (eg, CHAPPiE-2015, Ex Machina-2014), our “successor” – humanoid sapiens – will never appear. This may explain our drive for increasing our maximum age towards 150 (eg, SA-2021, Popular Mechanics-2025).
Obviously, the aforementioned has no bearing on artificially intelligent robotics. Such machines will know facts, might have (artificial romantic) feelings (eg, sex robots), and – hopefully – will not have opinions (eg, my blog Murderbot).
So far my humanoid sapiens concept is a fantasy, an intuition, and a belief. It may take decades – or even centuries – before humanoid sapiens will have become a fact.
