Recently, somebody said to me that someone’s life is complete. Initially, I agreed given her/his high age. Afterwards, I started contemplating about the meaning of a complete(d) life.
In my view, a complete(d) life has three (3) dimensions: body, mind and soul. Usually, we refer to the first dimension (eg, ageing).
Sometimes, our brain or mind thinks our life is complete (eg, due to hurt & pain). Such a thought may result in a suicide. In my situation, the universe did not agree, which resulted in divine intervention. Clearly, my life was not complete.
The third dimension is complex. Sometimes, an incomplete life suddenly ends (eg, accidents, sickness of Joan). Then we refer to the Will of God (eg, inshallah). In my view, the soul connects individual and universal consciousness.
The Body, Mind & Soul concept (above) feels valid in many cases. Often, your high age (body) will reduce your appetite (mind) for living much longer, and your soul prefers to rest in peace.
Sometimes, I do wonder if my life is complete – by now. My (continued) writing always proves that such a thought is wrong.
Indeed, my working life is complete since 2013 at the age of 53. However, I do not consider my writing as working. My writing is my mission in helping others – after having received divine help myself.
After having had no writing inspiration for several days, this blog’s topic became (too) overwhelming inside my mind. I had to start writing without knowing where this topic would be heading to.
I suppose this blog was necessary (for me) to answer my own and “your” lingering question: What actually is a complete(d) life??
