Sta Hungry Stay Foolish

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

Waiting, waiting, waiting……

I’ve been waiting for several months for the arrival of some stuff. Initially, its production time didn’t make me curious about its delivery time because its quality is more important than its speed. Since the announcement of its imminent delivery, my waiting is becoming an experience in itself.

I think, feel and believe that my latest diagram explains the psychology of waiting (eg, Medium-2025, PT-2018).

The culprit of waiting is (detailed) focus.

The solution is (general) perspective.

I suppose that even a walk in a forest is enough to reduce your focus and increase your perspective.

Unfortunately, our focus has a habit of becoming overpowering (eg, Graham Weaver, Habit Strong, John Thurman, Medium).

Our focus might be stronger than our perspective.

In general, our focus is considered a strength because achieving our goals is considered a must. However, every advantage has its disadvantage, which is the opposite of a famous Johan Cruyff saying: “Every disadvantage has its advantage”. Not having goals is considered a weakness and/or a threat.

I’ll keep on waiting another week until my stuff finally arrives…..

[Chorus]
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part
