The free world needs a new leader?

Recently, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (ie, Kaja Kallas) claimed that “The free world needs a new leader”, following Trump’s Oval Office clash with the Ukrainian president (eg, Independent).

Perhaps, she referred to the EU as that new leader (Who). Her timing (When) is remarkable because Trump is old (b.1946) and in his second and final term. Most important is the Why question because everything follows Why.

It’s tempting to disregard her comment as a personal insult. However, when you would include a two-term presidency of his vice president (ie, JD Vance) then her words get an intention: “the free world needs a new leader”.

America has chosen its new president. The remainder of the world did not have a choice. Probably, most countries have different priorities than Trump has (eg, cooperation rather than competition).

Joe Biden and his presidential predecessors (eg, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama) were much better in hiding their America First policy than Donald Trump. Trump is jeopardising American hegemony.

It’s tempting to view that jeopardy as Trump’s intention. I do not believe that. Trump only believes in himself (eg, narcissism, extreme self-love), and also in money (eg, greed, lust, power, wealth). Trump has no (political) ideology.

Trump’s lack of any political ideology might be the best explanation for the recent comment by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy: “The free world needs a new leader”.

Any vacuum (eg, political, scientific) will result in pressure – and thus chaos – in order to fill that vacuum, and create a new equilibrium. That principle appears to apply throughout the universe.

In other words: the world is looking for a new SuperPower because USA has – or had already – fulfilled its role. Trump is merely proving that (my) conclusion.

My 2015 blog: Chaos, Equilibrium, SuperPowers and the United States of Europe

I suppose the recent comment by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy indicates a forthcoming change in my 2015 NO ?? conclusion on superpowers. Hence, the Federal and United States of Europe.
