I think I finally understand the feeling of loneliness. In my view, it feels like the Daryl Hall song below: “Every time you go away; You take a piece of me with you” (lyrics). This yearning-like feeling is new to me. I have always liked my feeling of solitude but I’m (far) less sure about this new feeling.
As I had always suspected, my inspiration is taking a dive. Even my daily game is taking a toll. However, I have no doubt because the pros outweigh the cons. Perhaps, there’s a growing fear about what would happen (eg, to us) if this new situation would change or – worse – stop.

My diagram (left) was published in my 2018 blog: The Fear of Love (2).
Actually, the title of that blog may well be most accurate way of describing my current situation:
I suppose that her and my current age are also relevant because how many years are still ahead of us?? When you’re living all alone – a 1986 song, and lyrics by the beautiful voice of Phyllis Hyman – that notion is far less relevant. Sometimes, death is almost welcome in times of loneliness & solitude.
In my view, faith, beliefs & willpower will keep us at the conscious side of life, where hope and love prevail. Nevertheless, our doubts and our fears will keep on hiding in the subconscious shadows of our life. Each day, we will (need to) make a choice, based on our priorities in life.
“It’s time for you to start discovering that this new life, the only one you have, might still be worth making into something.”
