While writing my previous blog – Dark matter: complexity or simplicity?? – a thought appeared in my mind: is the aether responsible for reflecting “dark” or invisible matter and energy? My choice of the word reflecting is on purpose.
Another angle is this one: how can “several” suns illuminate an entire universe??
Moreover, the aether could (also) explain the tired light theory, as proposed in 1929 by astronomer Fritz Zwicky (1898-1974). His argument was that “photons lost energy over time through collisions with other particles in a regular way” (Wiki).
I suppose that scientists have relabelled the (unknown) aether by their (unknown) concept of “dark” a.k.a. invisible matter and energy. The obvious similarities are c.95% and unknown.
Is it even possible that the aether that we “see” can be nothing? Or must it be something?
The song below suggests something (ie, data stream) that has been on my mind for long: might data-info be the invisible “dark” matter and energy? That would fit the no-hiding theorem, which claims that “information is never lost”.
My previous paragraph would also explain where universal consciousness is “hiding” in our universe.
Given the above, it’s highly unlikely that we will ever find the “dark” or invisible matter and energy (eg, Scientific American, 20 August 2024). Probably, we are searching in the wrong “direction”.
Ether Song (2003) by Turin Brakes
band, lyrics, video, Wiki-band, Wiki-album+song
In the ether, in the ether’s air
Would you be there? Would you be my friend?
In the morning, in the morning rain
In the binary of a data stream
