Sta Hungry Stay Foolish

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

A blog by Leon Oudejans

Do we know where we are going to?

Yesterday’s blog on the decreasing energy of (sun) light and the increasing age of the Universe (ie, 26.7 billion years), made me realise that the age of planet Earth (ie, 4.55 billion years) is only 17.0% of the Universe. Hence, my assumed answering of the where question in yesterday’s blog was wrong.

The list of UFO sightings starts in 1450 BC in Africa, and has accelerated in the 20th and 21st century. In my view, the question – whether humans are alone in the Universe – has long been answered. An accelerating UFO list makes sense because humans might become a threat.

The 3rd law of British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke is quite appropriate and foretelling given the above: (3) “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

In my view, we humans are still in denial about:

Perhaps, the future discovery of the Hall of Records will finally change our denial into acceptance:

“According to the readings, the people of Atlantis became aware of the fact that their civilization was about to be destroyed. As a result, they hid identical records of the Atlantean civilization in Bimini, in Egypt and in the Yucatan. Numerous readings contend that this Hall of Records will be discovered […]”

A quote from the 7 unresolved prophecies by Edgar Cayce (1877-1945)

Consequently, scientists are determined that all human technology must be younger than 5,000 BC (eg, pyramids, ziggurats). In their view, nothing could have happened before the Great Flood (c.18,000 – 7,000 years ago) following the Last Glacial Maximum (c.26,000 – 20,000 years ago).

As long as we are in denial about our history, legends & myths, it’s quite unlikely there will be any contact with extraterrestrial life.

The notion of First Contact is interesting. I suppose humans are not capable of contacting UFOs because our technology is insufficient. I assume that UFOs are not allowed to make First Contact because we would not understand their communication (eg, films Arrival in 2016, Close Encounters in 1977).

This technological dilemma may continue for several decades, possibly even centuries but probably not millennia. After establishing First Contact, we may finally understand where we are going to.
