In yesterday’s blog, Dreams, I wrote the following: “In my view, the soul is the linking pin between individual and universal consciousness.” That sentence bugged me for some reason, and has resulted in this new blog and new diagram.
I suppose that the above classification is new to me. After some reflection, it (still) feels valid. This classification also allows for the Soul being unknown, and being the linking pin between individual and universal consciousness.
You may have noticed workshops for meditation and/or mindfulness. In my view, they aim for full consciousness a.k.a. Body, Mind & Soul. I doubt that is possible. The Soul is unknown for a reason and part of a never-ending scientific debate (eg, Medium-2024, PT-2011, Quora).
The “remote prehistoric past” a.k.a. (very) ancient Body, Mind & Soul concept combines awake and aware and the unknown (respectively). Wikipedia only mentions mind–body dualism. The Body, Mind & Soul concept is an example of trialism.
In my view, Big Tech is one step ahead and looking for immortality, either our body (eg, immortal jellyfish) and/or our mind by uploading our consciousness (eg, Upload). This development might be viewed as an example of monism (ie, immortal Power).
“Many Silicon Valley types also ascribe to the idea of the singularity, popularized by Google director of engineering Raymond Kurzweil, which holds that by 2045, AI and biotechnology will have rendered humankind effectively immortal.”
A quote from a 2019 Quartz article: Why Silicon Valley titans are obsessed with immortality
Ancient Sumerian (religious) beliefs, make a difference between the earthly spirit or ghost a.k.a. eṭemmu, and the divine soul a.k.a. zaqiqu (eg, Wiki). The soul or zaqiqu must be immortal because it travels in our sleep and in our afterlife.
“The desire to know your own soul will end all other desires.”
