Yesterday’s blog questioned the existence of a multiverse. My reason is quite “simple”: a multiverse cannot have interfaces. Else, it would be part of our Universe. Without interfaces, such dimensions can never be detected.
Hence, a multiverse is just a human (hypothetical) belief without any (future) evidence.
Actually, the Universe may have “interfaces”, like wormholes. In Einstein’s view, such hypothetical structures are for the sake of bridging spacetime. Possibly, some black holes might represent “the mouth” of such wormholes (ie, Space).
To some extent, we have done the same on our planet by building controlled-access highways, “designed for high-speed vehicular traffic“. Transportation via loops would be its next phase (eg, The Boring Company).
“The multiverse—the idea that there are an infinite number of other universes out there besides our own—strikes many as not only odd, but also exceptionally modern, arising from contemporary physics. But in fact, the notion that there are many worlds besides ours is ancient, stretching back at least 2,500 years. Although the multiverse is never postulated as such in the writings of early thinkers, it’s an implication of efforts to solve some other problem, be it metaphysical, theological or scientific.

When I read the above, a thought strikes me: those ancient beliefs did not imagine a multiverse but “just” other galaxies, like our Milky Way galaxy. The word multiverse is (very) misleading. Multi-galaxy is much more relevant.
Moreover: why would we be alone??
