Finally, Joe Biden has understood that he is overstaying his welcome. Donald Trump will be angry and terrified because he will be neither the youngest, nor the least senile. In the 2013 words of Pope Benedict (1927-2022):
“in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes…both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.”

I suppose that Gavin Newsom will become the final Democratic nominee for U.S. president, possibly with Michelle Obama as VP nominee. A Newsom / Obama ticket would be pure gold.
I’m skeptical about the chances of Democratic vice-president Kamala Harris. My forthcoming blog of Monday will explain my doubt. The differences between Harris and M. Obama are evident.
The late delisting of Joe Biden is a pure blessing in disguise and the best thing that could have happened – even for Joe Biden. Most likely, Trump would have won, following a (very) low voter turnout amongst disillusioned Democrats.
Now, I’m quite confident that the Democrats will win the 2024 presidential election on November 5. In my view, Donald Trump would be a new disaster considering his disastrous reign from 2017 to 2021. Moreover, the main reason for his candidacy is to escape prison.
Who will become the New Kid in Town??
New Kid in Town (1976) by the Eagles
band, lyrics, video, Wiki-band, Wiki-song
[Verse 1]
There’s talk on the street, it sounds so familiar
Great expectations, everybody’s watching you
People you meet, they all seem to know you
Even your old friends treat you like you’re something new
[Chorus]
Johnny-come-lately, the new kid in town
Everybody loves you, so don’t let them down
