Happiness, satisfaction & love: micro vs macro

Happiness and satisfaction are essential in our lives. Add love and our life is complete. See my related blogs. Is the opposite also true? Dissatisfaction and unhappiness are key ingredients for a burnout. Today’s societies seem governed by dissatisfaction, unhappiness & hate. What does that imply?

For years, I’ve viewed (dis)satisfaction and (un)happiness at a micro or individual level. Until quite recently, I had never considered that the same ingredients may also apply at a macro level, a.k.a. society at large. Is Chaos in society, the macro equivalent of an individual burnout?

My new diagram replaces an earlier diagram that was included in my 19 March 2021 blog: Balancing happiness, satisfaction & love.

Apparently, the macro vs micro perspective applies anytime and anywhere.

If this would be an absolute truth then we can imagine anything by applying (a kind of) reverse engineering.

Key question: is society heading for the equivalent of an individual burnout, a.k.a. Chaos, following the apparent or seeming abundance of dissatisfaction, unhappiness & hate?

Some would (probably) argue that chaos is already there. I would disagree. Indeed, the ingredients for Chaos are there. A “successful” Chaos mix would require much more stirring (eg, agitation).

Change is you and me or Us, and well before “Them”.
