Drivers of Change: a 2022 update

Several of my blogs have mentioned the drivers of Change, which govern everything around us. Late April 2018, I published my initial blog Drivers of Change, which included a rather complex diagram. I suppose I was still arranging my thoughts. Today, I present a much simpler diagram.

Perhaps, the single most important item in my diagram is the Blueprint of our Universe. Every single item in our Universe seems there for a purpose (eg, facilitating Life). The Universe shows an equilibrium (ie, solar systems), a ginormous (alleged) vacuum, and – amazingly – the absence of chaos (my blogs).

In my view, the interconnectedness is the second most important aspect of my diagram. Although not visible, I suppose there are also three feedback loops in this diagram (eg, from #4 to #3 and so on). Ultimately, this diagram also represents topics like ecology and causality (eg, cause-effect).

My diagram is another example of my blogs on macro vs micro. Hence, the Universe comes first (macro) because its Blueprint is responsible for creating stars and planets (ie, Energy & Matter) and Life on planets (Earth). Without Life, there would be no third (society) and fourth (individual or micro) building block.

We may never know if “our” Universe provides the ultimate macro view. Perhaps, our Universe is part of a multiverse, omniverse or metaverse. Moreover, the similarities between our brain and the Universe do suggest some kind of a Droste effect (eg, my 2021 blog, ScienceAlert-2020).

In 2018, this topic resulted in a complex diagram. In 2022, I present a simple diagram while nothing has really changed. The main change is that my diagram is now a process rather than an attempt to connect the many dots. I think, feel and believe that I’m seeing the forest for the trees.

My ultimate question remains: Why is there a Blueprint? Again, everything follows Why.
