There are three collective development stages in humankind: Needs, Wants and Beliefs (my blogs). On an individual level, there is a fourth: an Awakening. Ever since I developed this concept, there has been a question on my mind: why does it seem impossible for societies to collectively reach an Awakening? In other words: what stops human beliefs?
In general, the answer to my question is profound Change. Unfortunately, such Change is typically of a negative nature. Systemic wars (eg, world wars) throw people back in their development stage. A new systemic war would end our Beliefs stage, and would put us back to the Needs stage. Hence, my use of the Strauss-Howe generational theory (my 2018 blog).
My 2013 burnout brought the (individual) Change that was able to break my old beliefs. I did not develop new beliefs. Instead, I transformed to the final stage of an Awakening that might be characterized as having little ideology and lots of pragmatism (my recent blog).
I doubt that my 2014 transformation was a (my) choice. It felt natural to me. From that moment, I had and have different priorities in life, like learning and teaching (my blogs). If beliefs can end individually then it should be possible to end them collectively.
What massive positive Change could end our (collective) Beliefs and transform us – collectively – into the final development stage of an Awakening? My examples below show the magnitude of such positive Change.
Example 1: the return of an extremely advanced human civilization to planet Earth might transform humanity towards an Awakening (eg, the Anunnaki from Planet X). Example 2: a prophet “uniting” our various deities (eg, Ahura Mazda, Allah, Brahman, God, Yahweh) might end Religion (as a Belief system) and bring back Faith, Hope & Love (my blogs).
My 2013 burnout showed (me) that our (individual) resistance to Change is enormous. Back in 2013, everything went wrong in my life: family, finance, health, love, relationship, and work. The last one in that row was the famous last drop.
While writing this blog, it suddenly strikes me that my enormous resistance to Change was also related to the absence of a new perspective. Creating a new perspective may be crucial for transforming humanity from Beliefs into an Awakening. To be continued.
