Since 1999, NPO Radio 2 in The Netherlands broadcasts the annual list of the Top 2000 songs of all times. Some 200,000 people vote for this list. They can choose up to 35 songs, 20 from a database and 15 as a free choice. This translates in a total of some 6.5 million votes (2016). Over 8 million people (2015) listen to (parts of) this 7 day non-stop broadcast between Christmas and New Year, which is about half of my country. On average, Radio 2 has a week average of 2.7 million listeners (NRC).
